Equipped with an extensive background in Property Management and troubled-asset turn around, Kristy has hit the ground running as Watermark's Midwest Asset Manager. Kristy brings her 20-years of experience in property management, most recently as a Regional Manager for a large syndicator (20k+ units) responsible for overseeing approximately 2,000 units and a staff of 40 to bear as she helps lead the build out the Watermark Midwest in-house property management team.
Examples of recent successful turn arounds under Kristy’s leadership at her prior employer: Lansing, MI (350 units) – Took over asset from third-party manager on February 2016. Occupancy was at 69% with substantial outstanding payables and no vendors willing to work on property. Completed turnaround within 9-months. Occupancy grew to 92%, with 95% timely rent collected, reestablished relationship with vendors and payables paid on a timely basis.
Clinton Township, MI (379 units) – Took over management of a struggling asset from third party manager in November 2016. Occupancy consistently below 80% and persistent payables problem. Within a year, the asset stabilized at 95% occupancy and payables were paid timely. In 2018 the asset received an award for consist strong occupancy.
